About me:
I’m a clinical psychologist most passionate about helping fellow early adults (approx. 20-45 years old) find the hope and courage to move forward and live meaningful lives.
Education & training
I’m registered as a psychologist with the Chilean Superintendence of Health (#392845), hold a graduate diploma in psychodynamic diagnosis from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile; have trained in CBT for depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy in the US; and am an MSc in Clinical Psychology candidate at De La Salle University in the Philippines.
This means I can help patients notice, explore, and change thoughts and behaviors that keep them stuck in relation to others or themselves. Through my experiences in different countries I’ve also learned to appreciate cultural differences and consider patients’ backgrounds (including native language, values, religion, and social norms) when seeking to understand their pain and help them improve their lives.
Past experience
In addition to working as a psychologist in private practice, I have worked in the non-profit sector counseling families at psychosocial risk, in educational settings coaching middle and high school students, and in the public sector providing crisis intervention and psychotherapy to healthcare workers. Through these different roles I’ve aimed to help people live fully and this continues to be my goal today.
Off the clock
Outside of work I enjoy reading, being in nature, writing, and spamming my brother with silly memes. I’m originally Chilean, currently live in Santiago, and have spent a third of my life overseas between Brazil, Argentina, the US, and the Philippines.
