I offer both, online and in-person therapy.
In-person sessions are held at Edificio Médico Alcántara, Office 905, Av. Apoquindo 3990, Las Condes, Santiago (Chile).

The main things you will need are a device with a camera; a stable internet connection; and a private, uninterrupted space with adequate lighting where you can talk freely. If you live with other people you may want to use headphones.
You might also want to have tissues, water, and a notepad nearby to use as needed.

The standard—and my recommended—frequency for online and in-person treatment is one session per week, especially at the beginning. Once the therapeutic relationship is well established and you feel more stable, we might agree to meet every other week.
While I understand for some people this may seem like too much of a time, emotional or financial investment, frequency and consistency of treatment are key for meaningful and lasting change. Why so?
Trust is one of the most important elements of the relationship between therapist and patient and it is built through consistent, emotionally safe encounters.
Moving towards desired goals requires effort and focus, and it is easier to stay on (and adjust!) the path you outline for yourself when you have frequent opportunities to observe and reflect on your progress.
Frequent sessions make it possible to maintain continuity throughout treatment. If appointments are scheduled at random or too far apart, sessions are likely to feel disconnected from each other, making it harder to tackle problematic patterns.
Spaced out or irregular sessions may help you feel better in the moment, but make it harder (and slower) to address the underlying problems that bring you to consult in the first place. I offer weekly and, in some cases, biweekly sessions to ensure your investment is truly worth the effort.

There’s no generic answer to this question as the length of treatment is highly personalized based on several factors, including the nature of the presenting problem (chronic or episodic, single or co-occurring with other disorders, etc.), its severity, and your goals for therapy. What you should feel throughout the process is that you’re moving meaningfully towards the goals agreed upon at the start and, eventually, that you’ve achieved and maintained the desired change.
In some cases, a few sessions are enough (16-20); other times, patients choose to stay for longer (6-18 months) either to work on their initial concern in more depth or to address additional topics; while those with chronic conditions (such as bipolar disorder) may be in therapy, with varying frequency, for years.
The important thing is that we check in with each other often enough so that you feel that the length of treatment matches your preferences and allows us to meet your goals.

I understand that things come up and sometimes plans need to change. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, I request that you let me know at least 24 hours in advance and I will accommodate you for the soonest available slot.
If you fail to cancel/reschedule your session at least 24 hours ahead of time, I will charge you the full session fee.
When you schedule a session with me, I set that time aside for you. If you fail to notify me at least 24 hours before, you prevent me from giving that slot to someone else who may need help or adjusting my use of that time.
-
I charge $50,000 CLP (approximately $50 USD depending on exchange rates) per 50-minute session.
-
Yes, I have a limited number of sliding scale slots to see patients at a discounted rate on the basis of their income.
If you need help and truly cannot afford the full fee, please do get in touch and ask about this option. If I have no available slots, I will do my best to refer you to a colleague with a rate you can afford.
-
I accept payment via bank transfer prior to the start of each session. International transfers can be made through Wise.

If you’re covered by a private Chilean health insurance (an Isapre), yes. The exact amount you will be reimbursed per session and the number of sessions you can file claims for will depend on your plan.
If you have an international health insurance plan, please direct this question to your insurer.
